Rebecca Stoltzfus is Professor in the Division of Nutritional Sciences and Director of the Program in International Nutrition. She holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Human Nutrition from Cornell University and a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Goshen College. She has been a member of the National Academy of Sciences Food and Nutrition Board, Associate Editor of the Journal of Nutrition, president of the Society for International Nutrition Research, and is a Fellow of the International Union of Nutritional Sciences. She is a member of the WHO Nutrition Guidelines Advisory Group for the Biennium, and recently received the Kellogg Award of the American Society for Nutrition for excellence in international nutrition research. Her research focuses on the causes and consequences of malnutrition in women and children in low-income countries, with research projects ongoing in Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Peru, Haiti, Bangladesh and Uganda.
