Community Consultation for SAGY (Sansad Adarsh Graam Yojana) in Dharwad

GRAAM’s Community Consultation Team conducted a Community Need Assessment to understand development status and to prepare a Village Development Plan (VDP) for the Harobelavadi Gram Panchayath of Hubli-Dharwad Lok Sabha (Parliamentary) Constituency in Karnataka in the month of April. Harobelavadi is selected for Sansad Aadarsh Graam Yojana. Kodagu Human Development Report Released
The District Human Development Report of Kodagu, prepared by GRAAM was released at a function held in Madikeri on the 24th of April 2015. Shri K J George, Home Minister of Govt of Karnataka and district minister in-charge, and Shri T John, MLC, were the distinguished guests at the event. Dr R Balasubramaniam and Sham N Kashyap represented GRAAM at this event, organized by Kodagu Zilla Panchayat.

Qualitative Workshop

GRAAM conducted one-day workshop on Focus Group Discussions to orient the participants to use FGD as a tool for evaluating programme interventions (like organizing self-help groups of persons with disability) on the 2nd of May 2015. Research personnel from GRAAM and the field team of Modern Architects of Rural India (MARI) from Telangana participated in this workshop. Renowned professors from University of Mysore participated as resource persons.
