Himatsingka’s Senior Management team expressed interest to have a partnership with Grassroots Research And Advocacy Movement (GRAAM) to conduct a feasibility study in selected ten Govt. Schools of Hassan district for the implementation of “Sugamya Shiksha” a comprehensive school development model developed by GRAAM. This Study is being taken up with an objective of strengthening the CSR offerings of Himatsingka Foundation in a sustainable and effective manner.

Scope of Work • Needs assessment will be conducted to understand the actual need of intervention expressed by key stakeholders for the overall development of the school.
• Need assessment will be done through observation, in-depth interviews with stakeholders.

The Needs Assessment will encompass the following:

  • Key – Informant Survey collecting information of current facilities, infrastructure, manpower and other necessary basic needs of the schools is conducted.
  • Collecting information of current status of the Academic and all other activities by school for effective learning environment.
  • Conduct In-Depth Interviews with Headmaster, teachers, students, SDMC Members, Village Panchayat members, and Govt. Officials involved in school development.
