Dr. Vivek Ujire Padvetnaya
Dr. Vivek Ujire Padvetnaya is a Trained physician, development professional and health economist with post graduate qualifications in Business Management and Health Policy, Planning and Financing. He has secured gold medals and distinctions all throughout his academic career. He is currently a doctoral student in department of Public Health, University of Oxford.
Dr. Vivek Ujire Padvetnaya has worked as researcher and as coordinator of International Longterm care Policy Network (ILPN) at London School of Economics. Dr. Vivek has more than 14 years of experience in International Development in senior management and consultant positions. He is associated with SVYM (svym.org.in) as a member (1986 to current) and was a Staff from 1990 to 2005. As a core member, he played a pivotal role in transforming SVYM from a fledgling student organization to a well respected and professionally managed organization with more than 500 staff and reaching out to more than five million people through programs in multiple locations. Dr. Vivek Ujire Padvetnaya has also Cofounded and strategically guided; hospitals, schools and educational institutions.
Dr. Vivek Ujire Padvetnaya holds strong conceptual and analytical orientation with expertise in economic evaluation of health and social care programs, notforprofit fiduciary governance and program management. He was also involved in several applied research projects partnering with institutions such as World Bank and WHO. His current interest include economics of health care, governance and access to health care, health systems and social inequalities.
